- Rearchitected the app such that it stays running the background
- The first call to
rbw-quick-accessstarts the application, shows it, and keeps a socket up so it can be re-shown - Subsequent calls only have to call that socket to re-show the GUI
- The first call to
- The release
zipfile now has an installer.- The goal with the new architecture was to build into a single binary. Unfortunately, PyInstaller's unpackage overhead takes well over 500ms making opening it, even if it's already open in the background, take about half a second. Not awful, but not instant.
- The installer takes
rbw-quick-accessand_installerand puts them in their own/optsubdir, then makes a link to/opt/rbw-quick-access/rbw-quick-accessto/usr/local/bin, so it'll already be in your path. - This should mean this release is now fully Linux-flavor agnostic! (aside from probably Gentoo - you weirdo)
Fixes
- Search field content is persisted between launches
- Except for full quits, of course
- Typo for the Copy TOTP shortcut (
Alt+Shift+Cwas already working for the shortcut, but the "hint" at the bottom was wrong)
