    Overview

    After setting up DMSM on my personal dedicated server, I ran in to a few QOL things that I wanted to have done, so I worked on them! They took a while, but hey it was all worth it in the end. These changes range from new flag documentation, better argument handling and even support for 30-minute backups!

    New Features

    • [COMMAND}: dmsm <servername> logs displays the latest log for the server.
    • [COMMAND]: New -b or --backup flag. Usage: dmsm <servername> create -b <PATH_TO_BACKUPS> or dmsm <servername> create --backup <PATH_TO_BACKUPS>. Backups take place every thirty minutes. For more granular control, spin up your own Docker container using this repo.
    • dmsm ? or dmsm help now shows all help, including that for creating a server, so you don't have to use weird, illogical syntax.
    • Every single Environment Variable from itzg/docker-minecraft-server is now supported. You can read through each one all in one place with thorough detail in this document.
    • Every single description from flags.md has been placed into the program when you run dmsm help or dmsm ? that way you don't even need to refer to that document.

    Changes

    • Change to Argument Order. This one is big -- DMSM is no longer used as dmsm <task> <servername> but now dmsm <servername> <task> to make more sense as you work on managing your servers!
    • dmsm <servername> console now shows previous logs before starting your RCON session

    Want to be able to address all of your servers at once? You can do so via this command:

    docker ps --format '{{.Names}}' | grep -v -e \"-Backup\" | xargs -I {} dmsm {} <TASK>

    This release supports quite a bit. If you want to see, use dmsm create which will prompt the help menu for creating a server (I know I need to work on making that visible elsewhere..).

    I'd suggest using the installer below. If you don't want to feel free, but it's going to make your life easier.
